We are exposed to the negative media attention surrounding COVID-19 daily, if not hourly, and we hear a lot less about the positive stories associated with it. Communities are coming together in ways they never had before to support each other, our frontline workers and generally helping in the ongoing battle against the virus.   

UK distillers adapt their businesses to answer calls for more sanitising products  

Gin distilleries throughout the UK have adapted their businesses and production lines to manufacture sanitiser products for their communities and beyond. Keeping their businesses trading and supporting their employees, while also supporting vital safety needs of the public. 58 Gin based in London have confirmed they will donate a share of their profits to the drinks industry’s charity to support employees who are no longer actively working as a result of COVID-19.  

UK textile firm begins face mask production to meet demand  

Lancashire Textiles have changed their daily production line of duvets and mattresses to face masks, keeping their employees in jobs and addressing a vital need in the country right now. Now producing 2,000 face masks a week, they will play an important role in supporting frontline workers and NHS staff in carrying out their duties safely and efficiently.
