There is a lot of information out there to help businesses to weather the current storm. However, we know it can be difficult and time-consuming to find the best information for small businesses so in this blog post we have rounded up our top four small business resources. 

Save the High Street 

Save the High Street are true champions for small businesses and every week in their newsletter they are sharing tips and tricks – both tried and tested and novel – to help high street businesses stay afloat. This includes everything from making and saving money, to new forms of community engagement and digital marketing. They are also offering a tailored, end-to-end 12-week Covid-19 support programme. Shopify Community 

This is a fantastic resource for retail businesses who can talk with over 600,000 of their peers. The content includes everything from hiring, furloughing and finances, to shipping, online marketing and so much more. New conversations are posted multiple times throughout the day and the content is all community-led so you can talk to those who are facing similar challenges. 

Small Business Britain 

Small Business Britain is one the UK’s leading supporters of small businesses and is committed to offering continued guidance throughout the COVID-19 crisis. They have compiled a list of resources covering a range of topics, from financial and insurance advice to business coaching and mental health support. To make it easier to navigate the support available, they have divided their resources into three separate lists, based on how business owners are feeling during these times: struggling, uncertain or optimistic. You can sign up to their free daily newsletter here.  

UK Business Forums 

The largest forum for small businesses and startups, UK Business Forums is a community with an average of 550,000 monthly visitors. As the forums are community driven, the content is always current and relevant to every aspect of owning and running a small business. From growing your start-up and online marketing to current issues facing businesses as a result of COVID-19, there is a forum to discuss everything. Membership varies from a free account to full membership. You can sign up and choose your membership type here.
