Step 1: Go to Google My Business

Create a google account for your business if you don’t already have one. Then Click Here to go to the Google My Business website and simply click "Start Now". 

Step 2: Get listed!

Clicking on ‘Start Now’ takes you to Google Maps. Here, just enter your business name in the search bar and find your business on the map (if it has already been listed.) 

If it isn’t listed, click on the option ‘None of these match, Add your business’. This will take you to a form where you fill in all the information about your business. Just follow the instructions. 

Once you’ve completed all the steps, you will be sent an email postcard by Google to validate you as the owner of the business. You can then edit and update your information as much as you like.

Do – give as much detail as possible above the obvious address, telephone number, website, opening hours etc. Use keywords when you can so that your profile is optimised when people search.
