Palmieri’s is a gourmet Italian café in Maidenhead, Berkshire.

The business opened in 2007 and, with their traditional charm and well-loved menu, has become a favourite lunch spot for the local community – so much so that they’ve even begun to share their bestselling recipes on their Facebook page!

Palmieri’s Café was nominated by our Head of Acquisition, Jo Winterbottom, who says:

“The best thing about Palmieri’s is the welcome you get! The staff always remember their customers’ names and how they take their coffee, and they always ask about their family, work, or whatever else they’ve talked about with them before. It’s like running into an old friend."

As well as serving fresh coffee and cakes, business owner Roberto Palmieri and his team serve homemade Italian meals such as Aubergines Parmigiana and Tortelloni Ricotta and Spinaci. And some of these dishes are available as ‘tray-away’ pasta bakes, which are made fresh in store for customers to take away and cook at home.

“It’s also great that they make their pasta fresh on site. I’ve even seen children's parties being taken around the pasta making area to have a go at making their own; it’s a really unique feature of the café that gets everyone involved.”
